Oxford Ceramics Gallery presents ‘Handbuilt’, an exhibition showcasing contemporary as well as historic artists who, each with their own individual practice, have collectively contributed to dramatically transforming the landscape of modern ceramics.
‘Handbuilt’ offers a spectrum of meanings and outputs, influences and paths from a range of makers who, beginning in the 1950s, sought to establish a new language of clay.
We are delighted to introduce the artist Halima Cassell to Oxford, showing with us as part of the current exhibition Handbuilt.
Join us to hear Halima's thoughts on her career, inspirations and practice followed by a demonstration of an aspect of her making process. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers after the demonstration.
